Coffee- all day/night and not bad. This sleep deprived momma loved that!
Stay away from this hotel. The first room we were offered had a dirty bathroom. We settled on a room with dirty towels. The carpets are stained. The towels are washed every 3 days unless you specifically ask for them to be changed. The TV gets only 5 channels. The exercise room is "under construction". The Choice Hotels website says they have a hot breakfast, but it's continental. Our windows are filthy. The only bright moment was when I asked a maid to change our towels and she agreed to.
Pool- fun! Kids loved it. Slightly more chlorine than we'd like, but some people would say they'd prefer that to getting random colds and other sicknesses from other guests. Pool towels TINY (standard for low prices to mid priced hotels) but we used two each and were fine. one pool gate was broken and staff had it locked so nobody got hurt.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Easily the worst "hotel" I've ever been to. Floors were dirty. Shower did not drain. Bathroom was filthy. The toilet seat was left up when I got there. A colleague found nail clippings in her room. The beds were rock hard. I don't think the sheets were clean. Several rooms had people living in them. It's the only place to stay for about 40 miles, but in hind sight, it would have been worth the drive to avoid it. Truly terrible place.
Room- clean. Basic. A little dated and shower tiles slightly mildewed. Towels, toilet paper, tissues all fully stocked (other reviews had issues). Bed linens appeared clean and fresh (again, other reviews said differently). Knobs on shower faucet were put on wrong (righty loosely, lefty tighty!)
Bowling- dated but awesome and staff was very accommodating
When we first arrived, the woman behind the counter was Not friendly, At All! When we parked the car at the end of the building, to be closer to our room, there were people outside smoking with a rock holding the door open! This wouldn’t have bothered us so bad if it weren’t for the unsupervised children (around 3 & 4yrs old) that tried to come into our room with us! Now inside the room.....First- there was a dirty wet towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door, the tub, that I’m sure was once white, was grossly dirty!! The shower curtain had blood on it! Yes blood!! Not Kidding!! The beds were covered with hair, no idea what kind! Something brown at the end of the mattress, looked like feces! Empty bottles on the floor by the side of the bed! There were No other rooms available!! The hotel was booked solid! I can’t imagine why!! We had to spend another $50 at a local store for a set of sheets and blankets that we could wrap over the top of the entire bed, including pillows, in order to sleep on them!! We would have left if there was another option!! There were drunk people in the hallway the whole evening being loud and obnoxious. The free breakfast was bagels and pastries, which is fine except the bagels were there when we checked in the day prior! They leave them sitting out!!! When we went down there in the morning there were flies everywhere!!! We will NEVER stay there again!! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING THERE!!!
Staff- super friendly and responsive. Definitely "under" staffed so a couple moments of waiting but nothing too bad
I just can't explain how terrible this experience was for six nights. I didn't expect much from a Roadway Inn or of any Choice Hotel for a matter of fact. But this place takes the cake for the worst at service and the absolute nastiest room that I have ever stayed in. My military accommodations in Kuwait in Iraq were more attentive and clean. You shouldn't use this place if you have small children or a compromised immune system for the fact that you are likely to end up in the hospital. The place is filled with pubic hairs and cigarette smoke. The staff is miserable to include the highly impaired manager whom was clearly under the influence of something strong. Tony's attitude is award winning and demeaning. The personal insults and disregard of people with disabilities was just shameful to witness. Choice Hotels will be hearing from me and in particular about Tony's questioning of a Desert Storm Veterans disability. Tony the nasty receptionists whom has a personal calling to involve herself in others conversations and unwitting ability to propel insult toward customers valid complaints. I just can't explain how unbecoming this experience has been.
We would go back. Not nearly as sketchy as some made it out to be!!!
